Censorship... Who's responsibility is it?
I believe that the censorship should be an individual choice. However with the way that the American society is now a days, that responsibility seems to fall upon the shoulders of the companies. I think the companies main goal of using censorship in their products is their way to try and better society. There are many people who do not take responsibility of the choice they make or of the choices their young children make. Because parents do not pay as much attention to what kind of music their children listen to or some of the games they play, parents are not seeing the problem that is taking over most of today's society. This problem unfortunately has become the responsibility of the companies to help better America.

I agree with you I feel that if people were to take responsibility and look at what they are either making public or paying attention to their children this wouldn't be a problem. But since many don't step up to the plate it does end up being the responsibility of the companies.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree that parents should be more responsible in acting as a media filter for their children until they're of age. I have my doubts that companies have the population's best interest at heart at all times. Organizations like the FCC are more likely to at least make an effort towards the side of what they consider good taste. It just scares me to have all media pre-filtered before it comes to the public for judgement.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it should be the parents choice, and if parents would pay close enough attention to their childreen it wouldnt be a problem.
